TouchGuides makes digital guidebooks for vacation rentals, and the next wave of features leans on AI: drafting a guidebook from a listing, suggesting local recommendations, and answering the questions guests ask at 11pm. As our AI Engineer you own that work end to end, from prompt design through the evaluation sets that keep the output accurate. We are a small founder-led team at an early stage, so what you build reaches hosts within weeks.

Responsibilities

• Build AI drafting that turns a host's listing into a first draft of their guidebook
• Design evaluation sets so drafted copy stays accurate, useful, and on brand
• Ship features end to end in a Next.js and Postgres codebase
• Keep model latency and cost inside budgets you help set
• Talk to hosts about the drafts they get and fold their feedback into the prompts

Requirements

• 3+ years shipping production software, with recent work on LLM or ML features
• Strong TypeScript, comfortable in Python, and happy in a Next.js and Postgres codebase
• Experience with prompt design, retrieval, and structured model output
• A habit of measuring quality against real evaluation sets before shipping
• Interest in short-term rentals and the hosts who run them
